KESSv2: VAG Simos 8.4 OBD added


New protocol for the KESSv2 tool: virtual reading and writing though OBD of the Continental Simos 8.4 VAG ECU. The vehicles added to the Alientech Vehicles list belong to the Audi 3.0 V6 CAKA and CAJA brand, produced starting from 2008.

KESSv2 allows the VR reading, when it is not possible to access directly to the file contained inside the ECU. Even in this case, in a few moments, the tool searches in the databank the original file, by associating it to the ECU ID.

With this new update, the reprogramming on these vehicles becomes even easier and faster.

The 722 KESSv2 protocol completes the functionalities of the 1436 K-TAG protocol Service Mode.

KSuite v4.08: NOW with VAG Simos 18 CVN Fix!


KESSV2 AND K-TAG: NEW FUNCTIONS ON THE ECU CONTINENTAL SIMOS18 PROTOCOLS. THE CVN IS NO LONGER A PROBLEM.

We solve, also for the ECU Continental SIMOS18, one of the most discussed issues among the tuners: the CVN traceability.

CVN, acronym of Calibration Verification Number, is the calibration checksum of the file written inside the ECU. The CVN control constitutes a method with which it is verified if the calibration of the ECU is consistent with the one supplied by the manufacturer of the vehicle.

This update adds the correction of the CVN on K-TAG and KESSv2 protocols for Continental SIMOS18.

Thanks to these new functionalities, also by writing a Modified file, the CVN will always correspond to the Original File one. The CVN number will be displayed in the ID protocol, in the area of the software version.

MAGICMOTORSPORT has just released new OBD solutions for the programming of BOSCH MEVD17 ECUs mounted on BMW petrol cars like the Z4 (E89) 28i sDrive and Mini Countryman (R60) 1.6, as well as for diesel vehicles like the BMW 3 series (E91) 318d that mounts BOSCH EDC17 ECUs.

This new FLEX 5.0.0.0 update lets you work in OBD on BOSCH EDC16 / MED9 CAN and K-line ECUs installed in VAG group vehicles like the Volkswagen Crafter 2.5 R5 TDI and Audi TT (8J) 2.0 TFSI but it also includes newer VAG group vehicles like the Audi A4 (B8) 2.0 TDI and Volkswagen Scirocco (III) 1.4 TSI equipped with a BOSCH MEDC17 TP2.0 ECU. Protocol is still the same as the one released on November 2019
So you can still use the files you already donwloaded/tuned.
The difference from the past is that you don’t need to unlock with bench.
This new feature requires from our side to prepare every single file in
order to automatically unlock ecu by OBD. At today aproximately 50% are already available.
In the next days we will add the missing ones. If file is not yet ready you can
proceed as usual with the bench unlock.

Flex version 4.9.0.0

OBD solutions for VAG group: Continental DQ500 as a FLEX exclusive, DCM6.2V ( MY2019 ) & Simos16.1

MAGICMOTORSPORT has released an exclusive Full OBD solution for Continental DQ500 TCUs for VAG group vehicles. As of now, it is possible to program this TCU directly from the vehicle’s diagnostic socket, accessing all the memories present in its mechatronics (Maps Zone, Internal EEprom, Full backup / Cloning).
