MAGPro2 X17 ver 12.00.00 released

The summer holidays are over and we hope you have had your R&R and are ready to get back to work because we definitely are! We have prepared an interesting assortment of new protocols that will help you throw yourself back into your workload confident in the knowledge that only you, a proud MAGPro2 X17 owner, are capable of doing these vehicles.

Promises must be fulfilled, right?
Back in v10.90.00 we promised you something unbelievable for this update and we have lived up to this promise… actually, we have done better than that!

First things first – we are proud to introduce our revolutionary dealer safe OBD solutions for VAG Simos.
What does this mean? It means that any modification is completely reversible by OBD by just using the recovery button – and we mean everything, including the OBD flash counter number, that can be changed as you wish!
Those functions are already available for Simos 12 (including Simos 12.2) and Simos 18 (including Simos 18.3 and 18.6).

But that is not all. All SID208 (Ford, Mazda and Land Rover as well!) and the newest SID211 (2.0 TDCI engines from 2016) ECUs are now possible to R/W by OBD (IROM & EEPROM) – and bootloader patch is no longer necessary.

We have also good news about Renault & Mercedes SID307, SID309 and SID310 (Opel and Nisan as well).
All those ECUs are supported now in Bootloader mode (so there is also full access to the EEPROM as recently requested by our customers).
For Renault Power lovers we released also Bootloader protocol for EMS3155.
Also VOLVO SID807EVO is finaly available in BL Tricore mode.

Our software has been improved with the addition of a better search system in the Helpdesk and a major improvement of a standard connection scheme available in the GUI.

X17 UI Improvements:

Log compressing system: we have implemented a simple function to compress the logs to be able to send them directly to our Tech Support team.

  • MAGPro2 X17 GUI: Dutch Language added!
  • MAGPro2 X17 GUI: Spanish Language added!
  • MAGPro2 X17 GUI: Swedish Language added!

*Special functions: Simos 12.1, Simos 12.2, Simos 18.1, Simos 18.2, Simos 18.3 and Simos 18.6 are now supported through a special warranty-safe OBD system that will not increase the flash counter in any way. It will also allow you to reset the flash counter to whichever number you prefer through the recovery button, that flashes the ECU back to stock. No signs of modification will be present after re-flashing the ECU with the original file. All by OBD.

New Services Available by MMS Helpdesk:

(Beta) Magic Support Tickets enabled: in order to improve the ticket response time and the quality of the support system, we have created a new Ticket category, named “Magic Support”. It will automatically answer known issues and take care of the FAQ. It will be improved over time thanks to the installation of a new technology in our Helpdesk system, which can recognize these known issues and submit an answer automatically in the shortest time possible, just based on the compressed log folder.
Manual Finder system: we have now enabled a better manual search system between X17 and the Helpdesk
X17 Manual: we have just published a PDF that includes all the instructions and basic info needed for the use of our tool in our Helpdesk. Great for newbies as well as useful to professional chiptuners.

MAGPro2 X17 ver. 10.90.00 released!

Just before the most important fair of the sector in Italy – Autopromotec Bologna 2017, here we are with our May update.

We improved our PSA & Fiat SID208 solutions: now it is possible to read calibration zone and EEPROM directly by OBD! This means that you will finally be able to perform repair on those vans which – as you know – usually require.

This update also includes bootloader protocol for ST processors SPC564A and SPC5644, used on Marelli 8GMK, 9DF and 9GF: finally you can perform advanced services as well as cloning those units.

It’s not over yet: we’re already working on something unbelievable – stay tuned for the next update!

This plugin can offer functions that normally would normally require the ECU to be opened and a BDM/Boot programmer connected, however it can accomplish these procedures without opening the ECU and in some cases all from OBD!

Using this tool you gain full control of the ECU’s memories.

You can read/write eeprom and internal/external flash memories (where available).

It currently works with PSA BSI units, Smart SAM units and VAG DSG .

All operations are done over K-line or CAN bus without need to open ECU!

K-Suite 2.15

The new K-Suite Release v2.15 brings many interesting protocols for both for KESSv2 and KTAG. New communication protocols will be available for VAG Group equipped with ECU BOSCH GPT EDC17C74, BOSCH EDC17CP14 GPT and for Aston Martin equipped with BOSCH GPT ME17.8.31.

These protocols will be automatically available for all the K-TAG tools that have an active subscription and tricore enabled.

CMDFlash PSA MED17.4.2 Probe

This BDM Style probe allows reading/writing of Peugeot and Citroen Bosch MED17.4.2 control units without soldering.

No additional resistors or boot pins are required!

It handles all connections to the ECU and connects to the CMDFlash Boot Interface.

The probe allows password reading and also programming over boot mode.

LED lights are fitted to the underside of the probe to aid alignment, Power is supplied by your existing CMD BDM/Tricore power supply.
