K-Suite v3.31, now with Tricore Service Mode!

With the latest K-Suite update, thanks to the K-TAG evolved hardware, it will be possible to work on bench on ECUs with Tricore processor without having to open them.

You won’t have to buy new hardware, cables or adapters! To receive the new activation for free you just need an active subscription on K-TAG Master or Slave with Tricore-ST activation.

K-Suite v3.29 includes BMW Exx MEVD17.2, MEVD17.2.4, MEVD17.2.9!

Thanks to this highly anticipated software update, you work in OBD on the petrol ECUs of the BMWs Exx Series. From now on, to read and write these vehicles, you won’t need to open the ECU anymore: KESSv2 and standard cable are the only tools you’ll need!

All the ECUs Bosch MEVD17.2, MEVD17.2.4, MEVD17.2.9 are now supported in OBD by Alientech thanks to the new update of the software K-Suite 3.29.

If you already own a KESSv2, you won’t need to buy anything! K-Suite v3.23 includes BMW Exx EDC17!

We are today introducing a highly anticipated software update: with K-Suite 3.23 you’ll be able to work via OBD on the diesel ECUs of the BMW E-Series and Mini R-Series!
From now on, to read and write these vehicles, you won’t need to open the ECU anymore: KESSv2 and standard cable are the only tools you’ll need!

All the ECUs Bosch EDC17C06, EDC17C41, EDC17C50, EDC17CP02, EDC17CP09 and EDC17CP45 are now supported in OBD by Alientech thanks to the new update of the software K-Suite 3.23.

If you already own a KESSv2, you won’t need to buy anything! You just have to connect your tool, read the ID of the ECU and, thanks to the OBD Virtual Reading mode*, in a few seconds you’ll have at your disposal the related Original File. We are today introducing significant innovations regarding KESSv2 and K-TAG, which will provide new functionalities and tools to improve your work on many vehicles.

From now on, you’ll be able to work in OBD on Ford equipped with Continental SID208 and SID209, like 2017 Ford Ranger T6, and on the VAG equipped with Bosch MED17.1.1, Bosch MED17.1.62 and Bosch MED17.1.61, like 2018 Audi TT RS.
Also, new protocol via OBD even for GMC equipped with ECU Delco E86e, for example 2018 Chevrolet Silverado.

K-Suite Functionalities

We solved some critical issues, speeded up the software – noticeably more effective – and introduced two major functionalities which will enhance your work.

Virtual Reading for KESSv2 Slave

From now on, the Virtual Reading function will be available even for all the Slave Tools, with an active subscription. This means that, after reading the ID of the ECU, even Slave customers will be able to provide to the Master the correct encoded original file. If the Slave Tool hasn’t an active subscription, this opportunity will be precluded and the procedure remains the same: the research of the encoded file will be available only for the Master.

Automatic identification of the protocol for KESSv2 Master and Slave tools

From today using the K-Suite software, for all the protocols with Virtual Reading (VR) function, the automatic Identification of the protocol is activated for both Master and Slave customers. Once the Identification of the ECU (ID of the ECU) is carried out and the protocol is selected, K-Suite warns you if the selected protocol is incorrect, highlighting the correct one. In doing this, your work will be faster, especially during the firsts important steps.

From now on, you’ll be able to work via OBD (Patch with K-TAG necessary) on the Volvos equipped with Bosch EDC17CP22, Bosch EDC17CP48 and Bosch EDC17CP68, as 2015 Volvo XC60.
Also, new protocol via OBD (Patch with K-TAG necessary) even for Mercedes equipped with ECU Delphi CRD3E.1 e Delphi CRD3P, for example 2017 Mercedes GLA.

New protocols for ACM (Aftertreatment Control Module)

We introduced two new protocols for the ACMs. These are dedicated to the management of anti-pollution systems and additional services, as the DPF filter, the reduction of pollutant system ADBlue and, generally, other secondary functions not related to the Engine Control Unit.

The engine of a Truck is extremely complex due to its dimension, so an ECU just dedicated to “services” becomes necessary: that’s the reason why we decided to deal with it.

The new K-Suite 2.33 update is available. From today, thanks to the new protocols released for Car, Bike, Truck, Tractor and Boat, you can tune a large range of new vehicles either via OBD – with KESSv2 – or on the bench, i.e. directly on the ECU – with K-TAG.

The most interesting novelty for KESSv2 is, with no doubt, protocol 576 for Magneti Marelli 8GMK Microcontroller SPC564A80 ECUS equipped on new Abarth: from today you can work on these vehicles via OBDII, so that you won’t need to remove and open the ECU anymore!

For the K-TAG, new protocols for BDM, Bootloader, JTAG and NEC NBD Toyota microcontrollers. Furthermore, very important, from today – through the K-Suite – you’ll be able to know if you can “clone” the ECU you wish to tune: in every plug-in, where possible, you will get this very important information that gives you the chance to always know if you can copy the data of an ECU on another one with hardware compatibility, in case the original ECU is damaged or you to make more tests.

K-Suite 2.15

The new K-Suite Release v2.15 brings many interesting protocols for both for KESSv2 and KTAG. New communication protocols will be available for VAG Group equipped with ECU BOSCH GPT EDC17C74, BOSCH EDC17CP14 GPT and for Aston Martin equipped with BOSCH GPT ME17.8.31.

These protocols will be automatically available for all the K-TAG tools that have an active subscription and tricore enabled.

Improved Design! Universal ECU Pinout Cable

This universal pin out cable allows you to connect easily and comfortably to most types control units.

A variety of pins and extra connections are now used, so you can connect to a many different types of ECU’s.

The cable is fitted with an OBD2 female plug allowing connection any OBD flash tool.

It features:

  • Female OBD2 port
  • Power connections by 12V and GND crocodile clips or 2.1mm DC power jack. (Power supply not included)
  • LED indicator to confirm when ECU is ON.
  • 6 x 12V connectors for ECU
  • 6 x GND connectors for ECU
  • 3 x switched ignition connectors for ECU
  • Switched ECU Power (ON/OFF)
  • Switched CAN bus termination resistors (60Ω / 120Ω / OFF)
  • Switch-able ignition pins (OFF / ON / K-Line) for tools using K-Line for reset function
  • 2 x CAN Low
  • 2 x CAN High
  • 2 x K-Line
  • 2 x L-Line
  • Kline with diode N4148 for reset function
