BitBox BMW Bosch EDC17 FULL OBD Module!

The BitSoftware team have been hard at work developing a new module which allows complete OBD flashing of BMW EDC17 ECUs fitted in Exx vehicles. 

It allows identification, virtual reading and writing of the calibrations areas, also supports automatic correction of checksums while writing.

No need to dismount, open or drill an ECU – FULL OBD2 solution.

MPPS V21.2.5.3 Released

OBD:

  • VAG ME7.5 – Special mode added R/W/Cks Kline
  • VAG ME7.5 – Special mode added R/W/Cks Eeprom Kline
  • VAG MEDC17 drives will now show if the ecu has been OBD unlocked

 

Tricore Boot:

  • Tricore boot now only works with TPSG connected
  • More types of FRF/SGO added to OBD unlock file function
  • DS check updated for OBD unlocked files

 

This update only works for users with the latest MPPS interface (from SN 43xxxxxx > onwards)
Older hardware 41/42xxxxxx is no longer supported.

CMDFlash BMW Fxx EDC17C41 / EDC17C56 Probe

This BDM Style probe allows reading/writing of BMW F-Series Bosch EDC17C41 and EDC17C56 control units without soldering.

No additional resistors or boot pins are required!

It handles all connections to the ECU and connects to the CMDFlash Boot Interface.

The probe allows password reading (CMD BMW Fxx tool set required), and also regular programming over boot mode.

LED lights are fitted to the underside of the probe to aid alignment, Power is supplied by your existing CMD BDM/Tricore power supply.
