K-Suite v3.23 includes BMW Exx EDC17!

 

We are today introducing a highly anticipated software update: with K-Suite 3.23 you’ll be able to work via OBD on the diesel ECUs of the BMW E-Series and Mini R-Series!
From now on, to read and write these vehicles, you won’t need to open the ECU anymore: KESSv2 and standard cable are the only tools you’ll need!

All the ECUs Bosch EDC17C06, EDC17C41, EDC17C50, EDC17CP02, EDC17CP09 and EDC17CP45 are now supported in OBD by Alientech thanks to the new update of the software K-Suite 3.23.

If you already own a KESSv2, you won’t need to buy anything! You just have to connect your tool, read the ID of the ECU and, thanks to the OBD Virtual Reading mode*, in a few seconds you’ll have at your disposal the related Original File. The Virtual Reading feature has never been so effective! Alientech currently has 1537 Original Files exclusively dedicated to the BMW E-Series and Mini R-series.

K-Suite now supports VAG DQ250 MQB DSG!

 

Thanks to this update it will be possible to tune the automatic transmission Temic DQ250 MQB TCU of both Diesel and Petrol vehicles of the VAG group.

Using KESSv2 and the new cable 144300K267, you’ll be able to read and write the Control Unit of VAG DSG DQ250 and DSG DQ250 MQB transmissions.

Welcome to our summer release! MAGPro2 X17 ver 12.07.00 released

We have a lot of hot new protocols which you have been waiting for years.
First in the list are the newest bosch engine control unit type, MG1 and MD1.

From today it is finally possible to access them in OBD mode for the models mounted on BMW, Ford, Lincoln and Rolls Royce.

This is a historical date – as finally vehicles using the 3,5 V6 Ecoboost engine now are available for tuning.
Those MY2016-2017-2018 MEDC17 ECUs with new password protection (error 7F 31 33) will be no longer a problem now, as they can be shipped to our lab in Italy to read password. Solution works for all brands and is free of charge for X17 owners.
OBD solution for BMW MG1CSxxx and MD1CPxxx/CSxxx ECUs is already available on request – just open a support ticket to request access to this protocol.

Casting aside the most waited control units of the year 2017 and 2018, our update still has a lot to offer:

The new 1.0 TSI from VAG are available by OBD (MED17.1.27), and Jaguar and Land Rover (MY2017-2018) using MED17.8.32 will be now supported in Bench mode by pinout.
BMW ZF 8HP is now available for Fxx series, with a clone and a virgin function as well for who is not interested in tuning them. Procedure is, as usual, by pinout – tuning via OBD directly.
As requested by many, PSA DCM6.2A OBD protocol has been added as well as some older protocols to ensure a better compatibility of X17 for specific markets.

Last but not least, a gift sent to our customers waiting for us in Atlanta for the next trade show: GPEC2 and GPEC2A full bootloader protocol for FCA group.

MAGPro2 X17 ver. 12.06.00 released!

We are releasing ver 12.06.00 of MAGPro2 X17: this update, aside several software improvements, focuses on two important brands, for which we added exclusive new protocols:
1. Volvo, for which we added support both for tractors (with Kubota engine) and, most importantly, all 2.0 engines from 2014 to 2017 using Denso ECUs with processor SH72546R! This includes both diesel and petrol versions.
2. Ford, we added the new generation petrol engines – 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 used on Fiesta and Ka+!

MAGPro2 X17 ver. 12.05.00 released!

After so much time spent waiting for BMW Exx OBD solution, we thought to include in this Easter update also an improved OBD Unlock system for all VAG (including Porsche, Lamborghini, and much more) MEDC17 (also including those which weren’t possible before, for example EDC17CP54, EDC17C74 and MED17.1.1) that is, basically, a simplified version of old protocol. Just virtual read and write, and X17 will take care of locking flash counter and doing the unlock as usual.
But the real surprise inside your 2018 Easter Egg are the Continental SIM2K: now featuring never-seen before solutions for the latest models like SIM2K-260 and SIM2K-251, including access to the TCU part of the control unit!
News come also for Honda MED17.9.3 MY2018 – we added a new pass reading method for those that were not possible before, for the brand new Civics.
After working on Asian and European vehicles, we decided to give a thought also to American vehicles, releasing bootloader solution for Delco E92, E87 and E78 – alongside OBD for E98.
And for those who wish to experiment on files we also added a function to backup and restore the content of those ECUs, including Simos 12 and 18.

Any patch will be applied as usual, with flash counter lock for VAG (won’t increase anymore after first write), saving password for bootloader as backup and by keeping the Hxx tag as such (instead of having H43 become X43, for example, now H43 will be kept as H43)

*Restore ORI function restores to original FLASH, does not modify EEPROM – for warranty purposes. Flash counter LOCK makes sure the counter will remain always ORIGINAL. Those functions require unlock with this software release: if ECU was already patched, you should use Restore ORI function and then write any file (original or mod).
Only after this process the function will be active.

Ho Ho Hoops – am I too early? (BMW Fxx by OBD released!)

It seemed like today was going to be just another normal working day when all of a sudden, something unexpected happened – Santa appeared at our door in his brand new red X5 M! He needed to give it a boost for his well deserved holidays after Christmas and of course he couldn’t ask us to do this later as he is already getting very busy with work.

We had no choice but to but tune it immediately. He was so happy with the results that he needed to share his news with his elves and all his X17 user friends all around the world.
After that, we had no choice but to release the protocol ahead of schedule ?

So starting today, the BMW F Series is possible to do directly by OBD. No bootloader patches or backup are necessary, all you have to do is just virtual read and write. All this in approximately 15 minutes.
In regards to the E series, it’s already work in progress – but we consider the biggest part of the revolution already published.

MAGPro2 X17 ver 12.00.00 released

The summer holidays are over and we hope you have had your R&R and are ready to get back to work because we definitely are! We have prepared an interesting assortment of new protocols that will help you throw yourself back into your workload confident in the knowledge that only you, a proud MAGPro2 X17 owner, are capable of doing these vehicles.

Promises must be fulfilled, right?
Back in v10.90.00 we promised you something unbelievable for this update and we have lived up to this promise… actually, we have done better than that!

First things first – we are proud to introduce our revolutionary dealer safe OBD solutions for VAG Simos.
What does this mean? It means that any modification is completely reversible by OBD by just using the recovery button – and we mean everything, including the OBD flash counter number, that can be changed as you wish!
Those functions are already available for Simos 12 (including Simos 12.2) and Simos 18 (including Simos 18.3 and 18.6).

But that is not all. All SID208 (Ford, Mazda and Land Rover as well!) and the newest SID211 (2.0 TDCI engines from 2016) ECUs are now possible to R/W by OBD (IROM & EEPROM) – and bootloader patch is no longer necessary.

We have also good news about Renault & Mercedes SID307, SID309 and SID310 (Opel and Nisan as well).
All those ECUs are supported now in Bootloader mode (so there is also full access to the EEPROM as recently requested by our customers).
For Renault Power lovers we released also Bootloader protocol for EMS3155.
Also VOLVO SID807EVO is finaly available in BL Tricore mode.

Our software has been improved with the addition of a better search system in the Helpdesk and a major improvement of a standard connection scheme available in the GUI.

X17 UI Improvements:

Log compressing system: we have implemented a simple function to compress the logs to be able to send them directly to our Tech Support team.

  • MAGPro2 X17 GUI: Swedish Language added!

*Special functions: Simos 12.1, Simos 12.2, Simos 18.1, Simos 18.2, Simos 18.3 and Simos 18.6 are now supported through a special warranty-safe OBD system that will not increase the flash counter in any way. It will also allow you to reset the flash counter to whichever number you prefer through the recovery button, that flashes the ECU back to stock. No signs of modification will be present after re-flashing the ECU with the original file. All by OBD.

New Services Available by MMS Helpdesk:

(Beta) Magic Support Tickets enabled: in order to improve the ticket response time and the quality of the support system, we have created a new Ticket category, named “Magic Support”. It will automatically answer known issues and take care of the FAQ. It will be improved over time thanks to the installation of a new technology in our Helpdesk system, which can recognize these known issues and submit an answer automatically in the shortest time possible, just based on the compressed log folder.
Manual Finder system: we have now enabled a better manual search system between X17 and the Helpdesk
X17 Manual: we have just published a PDF that includes all the instructions and basic info needed for the use of our tool in our Helpdesk. Great for newbies as well as useful to professional chiptuners.

MAGPro2 X17 ver. 10.90.00 released!

Just before the most important fair of the sector in Italy – Autopromotec Bologna 2017, here we are with our May update.

We improved our PSA & Fiat SID208 solutions: now it is possible to read calibration zone and EEPROM directly by OBD! This means that you will finally be able to perform repair on those vans which – as you know – usually require.

This update also includes bootloader protocol for ST processors SPC564A and SPC5644, used on Marelli 8GMK, 9DF and 9GF: finally you can perform advanced services as well as cloning those units.

It’s not over yet: we’re already working on something unbelievable – stay tuned for the next update!
