Improved Design! Universal ECU Pinout Cable

This universal pin out cable allows you to connect easily and comfortably to most types control units.

A variety of pins and extra connections are now used, so you can connect to a many different types of ECU’s.

The cable is fitted with an OBD2 female plug allowing connection any OBD flash tool.

It features:

  • Female OBD2 port
  • Power connections by 12V and GND crocodile clips or 2.1mm DC power jack. (Power supply not included)
  • LED indicator to confirm when ECU is ON.
  • 6 x 12V connectors for ECU
  • 6 x GND connectors for ECU
  • 3 x switched ignition connectors for ECU

Used ByteShooter Master (V3.34).

This is a master tool which reads open bins files, also slaves can be attached.

ByteShooter VAG MED17.5.2 Probe

 

This BDM Style probe allows reading/writing of the VAG MED17.5.2 control unit without soldering.

No additional resistors or boot pins are required!

It connects directly to the ByteShooter OBD cable. It can be used to read/write password over “OBD” communication and also to read/write the IROM/EEPROM memory over Boot Strap Loader mode by the flick of a switch.

LED lights are fitted to the underside of the probe to aid alignment.

The Kit includes an OBD adaptor cable and a 12V power supply.

ByteShooter VAG Siemens 8x Probe – SIMOS 8.3 8.4 3.0TFSI

This BDM Style probe allows unlocking of VAG SIMOS 8x control units on the bench without soldering. No additional resistors or boot pins are required!

It is supplied with a special cable to connect the ecu directly to the BS OBD Cable. An external power source is required to power the ECU. This kit includes the Simos 8x probe and ECU cable.

ByteShooter VAG EDC17/MED17 Boot Kit – No Soldering!

This kit allows you to connect your ByteShooter easily and comfortably to many types of VAG EDC17 /MED17 to read/write over boot mode.

The kit includes:

  • VAG EDC17/MED17 cable with boot pin (integrated 1kΩ resistor)
  • Universal MEDC17 tricore boot pin kit consisting of an ECU mounting plate and 2 x arms equipped with spring loaded boot pins. The arms are secured with high performance magnets ensuring no movement once aligned.

This kit provides a clean connection to ECU boot pads without soldering!

Simply connect your ByteShooter to the ECU with the cable provided, screw the plate to the control unit and align the boot pins with the corresponding pads on the ecu. Then power the ecu and you are ready to read/write!

 It is designed to work with controllers using TC1766 and TC1796 processor, this includes:
